Golf teams take district title


The Aberdeen High School boys’ and the girls’ golf teams both won the District Five 2A Championship Title at the tournament held Monday, May 6, at Preston.

The girls team ended with a combined score of 442. April Beck took the first place medalist honors with a score of 99. A golfer from Soda Springs took second place.

Jaxson Archibald took medalist honors in the boys’ competition with a 77. Kylan Feld took second with 78 and a golfer from Grace took third place. The boys had a combined team score of 330.

“The teams played well. They won by a good margin,” coach Brian Beck said.

The teams will be heading to state this weekend and will play the state tournament Monday and Tuesday, May 13 and 14, in Worley, ID, near Coeur d’ Alene.
