It takes a community to make Aberdeen Daze a success

To the editor,

The Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce thanks all those involved in Aberdeen Daze. We thank everyone who donated time, goods for breakfast, drawing prizes, organized and entered the parade, organized and entered the lawnmower race and the Aberdeen Arts Council production. The celebration was a great success from beginning to end, with many visitors in town for the event.

This was the first year for the lawnmower race and there were nine entrants in the race. We thank Shannon Maxwell for the work she put in to make that a success. We hope next year there will be even more entrants.

A special thanks goes to Jeff Driscoll for the fly by before the parade began and also for dropping the ping pong balls on Main Street earlier in the day.

There are many areas of the celebration and it takes many people to put things together and to carry them out successfully. We appreciate all who helped and all who attended the celebration.

Thanks again,

Brett Crowther, President
Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce
