Three high school age golfers proved to be the cream of the crop at the American Falls Ladies’ Invitational, all tying with scores of 80, before Taylor Howell won on the second hole of a playoff for first place in the tournament on Wednesday, July 10.
Howell tied with fellow championship flight golfer April Beck and first flighter Alyssa Mabey before winning the tournament.
Beck’s 80 was still good enough for her to take first place net in the championship flight and Mabey captured first place gross in the first flight.
Winning second place gross in the championship flight was Brianna Koompin, one shot back at 81. Third went to Shirley Walters at 87.
Wanda Harshbarger took second net in the championship flight at 65, followed in third by Hali Mackert at 67.
Coming in second gross in the first flight was Tanya Parkinson at 92, with Wendy Marlatt finishing third at 96.
Jamie Evans won first net in the flight, carding a 63. She was followed by Marlene Wagstaff, second at 67, and Beth Paynter, third at 69.
In the second flight, gross honors went to Sherri Christensen, who shot 94. Jenny Kress was second at 96, with Stephanie Hahn finishing third at 101.
Debbie Crompton won low net honors in the second flight after shooting 60. Linda Morris was second with 66. Rounding out the top three was Vivian Charles at 67.
