The American Falls High School volleyball team finished third at the district tournament, just short of their goal of at least a second-place finish. The Beavers fell to Bear Lake on Thursday, Oct. 24, which finished their season.

Previously in the district tournament, AFHS handily beat Marsh Valley, but then fell to Snake River before the Bear Lake loss. Both previous games took place on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

“The team worked hard, but Bear Lake came out with the victory,” said Coach Nicole Fehringer. “It was heartbreaking to see the team goal of placing in the top two at district be in their reach only to have it slip away. These young ladies worked hard this season and it was fun to watch them grow as a team and compete at such a high level of play. I would like to thank all the girls involved in the program and their parents for making my first year back as head coach a great one.”
