Tiger wrestlers do well at matches Dec. 17, 20

The Aberdeen Tiger wrestlers hosted Raft River and Oakley on Tuesday, Dec, 17 and then traveled to the Malad tournament on Friday, Dec. 20. The team did well, according to coach Jordan Johns.

On Tuesday, the team scores were: Aberdeen 42 – Raft River 30 and Aberdeen 50 – Oakley 18. No individual results are available for those matches.

The team then traveled to the Malad Tournament held Friday and Saturday, Dec. 20 and 21. In that tournament Clancy Beck took second place in his weight, Rylan Beck took third place in his weight, Kyler Cornforth took fourth place in his weight and Trey Peck went 3-1 in the junior varsity tournament.

“The whole team wrestled really well. I’m proud of the whole team,” Johns said.

Johns thanks everyone that went to the matches and supported the team .

The team will travel to Ririe and Firth on Saturday, Jan. 4, for a double duals match and the Firth Tournament. They will travel to Soda Springs on Wednesday, Jan. 8, for a district double dual with Grace, Malad and Soda Springs.
