The American Falls High School wrestling team attended the Rollie Lane Tournament in Nampa on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 3 and 4.
“Rollie Lane was host to 50 of the toughest schools from Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Wyoming,” said Coach Jim Giulio.
American Falls was unable to get a wrestler into the medel round. Tate Grover had the best tournament of all American Falls wrestlers at 182 pounds, where he was a match out of the medel round.
Other wrestlers winning matches for American Falls were Dillinger Fausett at 98 lbs., winning two matches; Logan Mclean at 132 lbs., winning three matches; Mason Chacon at 138 lbs., winning three matches; Bo Hohenfield 145 lbs., winning three matches; Jeremy Glascock 152 lbs., winning three matches; Travis Dahlke 160 lbs., winning two matches; Fernando Martinez 170 lbs., winning one match; Kameron Prust 195 lbs., winning three matches; Nathan DeLaCruz, heavyweight, winning one match
The wrestlers have their first home match this Thursday, Jan. 9, at 5 p.m. against Teton and Shelley, not in Shelley as was originally on the schedule. It was one of only two home meets.
