The Aberdeen High School varsity golf teams traveled to Blackfoot on Tuesday, April 29. The girls team took first place and the boys team took second place.
There were five schools competing in the girls’ tournament. The Aberdeen team took first place in team standings with a 358. April Beck took first place individually with an 85. Sophia Duffin took third place individually with an 89. Hazel Pratt 111, Madison Dean 112 and Breanna Duffin 118.
There were six schools competing for the boys. The Aberdeen boys took second place in team standing with a 364. Houston Wahlen placed second individually with an 82 and Kylan Feld placed fifth individually with an 89. Austin Anderson 96, Zane Bono 97 and Tyson Kendall 105.
On Wednesday, April 30, the varisty teams traveled to Soda Springs. There were seven schools present. Both of the Aberdeen girls and boys teams took first place in the team standings. April Beck and Sophia Duffin tied for fourth individually with a 93. Hazel Pratt 97, Madison Dean 100 and Breanna Duffin 116. Houston Wahlen took second individually with a 79. Kylan Feld 88, Austin Anderson 88, Zane Bono 92 and Tyson Kendall 100.
Also on Wednesday, April 30 the high school junior varsity team traveled to Grace. There were six schools competing. The Aberdeen boys team took first place in the team standings with a 368. Chase Chris took first place individual with an 85, Carter Leishman took third with a 92, Kyran Palmer took fourth with a 95 and Jaron Bono took sixth with a 96. Preston Fuss scored 97.
Baylee Wahlen took first place for the junior varsity girls with a 116.
Districts will be played Wednesday, May 7, and the golf teams are planning to go to state Monday and Tuesday, May 12 and 13, in Rupert.
