School asks parents to have home reading, math activities

Aberdeen elementary school principal Robi Jo Colton asks all parents in the school district to hold reading and math activities at home during the Christmas break. She asked parents to be creative about how they are doing the activities.

Some she suggested are putting in a favorite movie and then turn the captions on and the sound off. Then the children and parents can read the lines together and enjoy the movie.
