POWER COUNTY COMMISSIONER

Synopsis of Minutes for September 8, 2020

Meeting convened at 12:37 p.m.

NOTICES/REPORTS:

COVID-19 was heard.

MOTIONS:

Agenda, Public Health & Safety Initiative, meeting minutes for July 9, 2020, July 13, 2020, July 17, 2020, July 27, 2020 and July 31, 2020 were approved.

Resolution 2020-04: A resolution to reserve forgone tax levy for Power County in the amount of $129,753.00 was executed.

POINTS:

Claims were heard and directives given. Assessor’s Office was presented but held pending Agenda scheduling.

ASSESSMENTS/CONCLUSIONS:

Executive legal advice session was held. Next regular session for the Board to meet is slated for September 14, 2020. Meeting adjourned at 3:21 p.m.

Meeting convened at 9:12 am.

NOTICES/REPORTS:

Weed’s Department update was provided.

MOTIONS:

Agenda was amended and approved. Personnel, Landfill, surplus items, certificates of residency, Sheriff’s Office updates and agreements, tax cancellation, Ada County pathology agreement, and building & grounds were approved.

Ordinance 2020-03 Modify Building Code Title 8, Resolution 2020-05 and Resolution 2020-06 Recommendation of Face Mask Wearing were adopted.

Guardianship Board Appointment of Barbie Workman to replace Elna Neu and Debra Wynn to replace Gordy Brown was approved. Board Appointments are as follows;

Synopsis of Minutes for September 21, 2020

Meeting convened at 9:15 a.m.

MOTIONS:

Agenda and Indigent burial case no. 2020-5 were approved.

Resolution 2020-07 reserving forgone taxes for the Ambulance District in the amount of $37,848, and Resolution 2020-08 reserving forgone taxes for the Abatement District in the amount of $140,271 were adopted.

POINTS:

Building & Grounds was heard.

ASSESSMENTS/CONCLUSIONS:

Executive contract labor session was held. Next regular session for the Board to meet is slated for September 28, 2020. Meeting adjourned at 1:54 p.m.
