AFHS girls’ soccer tops Bobcats and Panthers



The American Falls High School girls’ soccer team picked up two big wins in the past week. 
On Saturday, Sept. 28 the Lady Beavers hosted the Lady Bobcats of Burley. American Falls won the game 9-4. Maria Sanchez led the scoring for American Falls with six goals as well as one assist. Alma Rangel added two goals and six assists. Maddie Wagoner also had one goal for the game. Lupe Fonseca and Edina Ledesma also contributed with an assist each.
Earlier in the week American Falls traveled to Snake River on Thursday, Sept 26. The Lady Beavers notched a 5-0 victory over the Lady Panthers. Sanchez was out in front with three goals and two assists. Rangel added one goal and two assists on the game. Jackie Vargas also added one goal to the total.
American Falls hosted Marsh Valley yesterday, Tuesday, Oct. 1. Results were not available by The Press deadline.
The Lady Beavers will celebrate senior night tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 3, by hosting Aberdeen at 3:30 p.m.
