The Aberdeen Lady Tiger basketball team hosted Rockland on Tuesday, Nov. 26 and fell 49-40. Coach Karalee Bonzon reported the Lady Tigers had a low shooting percentage (19.4%) that contributed to the loss.
Rockland came to Aberdeen prepared to play, she said and they came out with intensity. Aberdeen just couldn’t match it.
Chantel Inskeep led the Lady Tigers in scoring with eight points. She was followed by Kaitlin Jolley and Josefina Uribe each with seven points, Kira Shelman, Madi Behrend and Karissa Ramos each with five points, and Makenna Schritter with three.
“Defensively, we picked it up late in the third quarter, but we just couldn’t pull ahead,” Bonzon said.
The Lady Tigers missed 12 free throws, seven of which were in the fourth quarter.
