Lady Beavers defeat West Side, fall to Malad


The American Falls High School girls’ basketball team had a split week, picking up a commanding win over West Side 47-28 and dropping their first game of the season to Malad 49-35.

The Lady Beavers traveled to Malad on Saturday, Dec. 7. Despite falling to the Lady Dragons senior Lindsey Woodworth maintained her status as the team’s leading scorer picking up 24 points.

American Falls spread the scoring around with Sammie Neaman scoring five while Hunter Morris and Mikah Fehringer both added three points to the board.

Senior Maria Snachez picked up a rare double-double against West Side on Thursday, Dec. 5, ending the game with 10 points and 12 steals.

Woodworth led the team in scoring with 19 points against the Pirates. Neaman added 15 points as well.

The Lady Beavers host the Lady Tigers of Aberdeen tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 11.
