Aberdeen community musical scheduled March 6, 7, 8, 10

The Aberdeen Arts Council’s community musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, will be presented Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday, March 6, 7, 8 and 10, in the Aberdeen High School Auditorium at 7 p.m.. Tickets for the Thursday night performance are $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Tickets for the Friday, Saturday and Monday performances are $8 for adults and $6 for children under 12.  Tickets are available at Wallace Drug and online at www.aberdeenartscouncil.org.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

is a musical with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The story is based on the “coat of many colors” story of Joseph from the Bible’s Book of Genesis. It is set in a frame in which narrators, Aly Hayhyrst, Sherri Horrocks and Melanie Beck, are telling the story.

Cast members include Jacob, played by Shane Ure; Joseph, played by Nate Gugelman; Reuben, played by Austin Turley; Potiphar, played by Brett Crowther; Mrs. Potiphar, played by Wendy Reed; Pharaoh, Preston Anderson; the Butler, Scott Shipley; Simeon, Wayne Millett; Benjamin, Justin Harris; Judah, Nathan Park.

Other cast members are: Vicki Gamble as Mrs. Jacob, Mattie Jones as Mrs. Ruben, Sheila Park as Mrs. Simeon, Jeff Beck as Levi, Genie Mack as Mrs. Levi, Josh Gugelman as Naphtali, Lisa Pankau as Mrs. Naphtali, Steve Love as Issachar, Monaquita Love as Mrs. Issachar, Todd McComas as Asher, Kaitlin Munk as Mrs. Asher, Adam Steen as Dan, Katrina Rowbury as Mrs. Dan, China Mack as Mrs. Zebulun, Freeman Bedwell as Gad, Laura Park as Mrs. Gad and Cindrie Lowder as Mrs. Benjamin.

The children’s chorus includes: Liev Mack, Clay Ingersoll, McKinley Woodin, Tessa Woodin, Whitney Park, Zachary Park, Nathaniel Tilley, Logan Tilley, Brody Beck, Kaitlynn England, Luke Driscoll, Cael Harris, Dawson Driscoll, Kylee Gugelman, Samantha Gugelman, Brooklyn Gugelman, Adia Goff, Seth Hall and Isabelle Duke.

Directing the musical comedy is Wanda McCombs with Julie Millett as assistant director.
