Residents of Aberdeen and the surrounding area are invited to a town hall meeting at the First Mennonite Fellowship Hall, 381 W. Washington, on Thursday, March, 6, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Presentations will be given by the visiting team from Idaho Rural Partnership which has evaluated the community in regards to economic development, infrastructure and downtown revitalization. They will share what they have learned and the recommendations they suggest for improving the community.
Members of the local community have been actively involved in the process, providing insight to the group, as well as making sure they are provided as much information as possible about Aberdeen.
A preliminary meeting was held on Tuesday, March 4, to discuss opinions and ideas presented by residents of the community.
A detailed written report will be presented to the community in two to three months. Portions of the community review will be conducted in both English and Spanish.
The Idaho Rural Partnership joins diverse public and private resources in innovative collaborations to strengthen communities and improve life in rural Idaho. The IRP board is made of 36 individuals who work together to improve economic and social conditions in rural Idaho.
