AFHS softball drops game to Bear Lake on the road

The American Falls High School softball team had a comparatively slow week with only one game on Wednesday, April 16, against Bear Lake.

The Beavers fell 5-2 to the Bears. Both teams were tied at 1-1 after the first inning. Micala Gillespie scored the first run for the Beavers. Ryan Hohenfield scored in the top of the fourth. The Bears also scored in the first inning and tied the game in the bottom of the fifth inning.

The Beavers fell behind in the bottom of the sixth and could not convert two base-runners into runs at the top of the seventh.

The Beavers are playing at Marsh Valley High School tonight and will return home to host the Snake River Panthers on Friday, April 25, at 4:45 p.m.
