She had a huge array of hobbies and interests and she was very involved in her community. She traveled extensively after her retirement and even did an around-the-world cruise. She loved knitting, needlepoint, sewing and quilting, arrowhead hunting, and was especially fond of the arts and theater and shared her love of these things with those around her. She was an avid reader and frequently donated books from her own collection to the Rockland Community Library. She participated for many years in the Rockland school reading programs where she would have the first grade students read to her. She kept busy and involved in the community. She served as Chief Election Judge for all elections held in Rockland, was a senior member of the Rockland chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, served on the Rockland funeral committee, and she performed Family Search Indexing for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with the most number of indexing done each month. She also served on the Rockland City Council.
