Rockland girls top-seed in district tournament

The Rockland High School girls’ basketball team head into the district tournament this week after finishing first in their conference and netting a top-seed place in the tournament.

The tournament started Tuesday, Feb. 2, but Rockland does not play until Thursday, Feb. 4, because the top-seed gets a bye from the first round of the tournament.

They will play whomever wins a game between Sho-Ban and Leadore. The game is at 6 p.m. in Firth.

Rockland finished its season undefeated against other conference teams, with a 12-0 record. Overall, the team had a 14-6 record.

Another highlight of the Bulldog’s season was that top-scorer Stefani McClanahan scored 1,000 points—only the second person in the program’s history …
