POWER COUNTY COMMISSIONER

Synopsis of Minutes for January 25, 2016

A complete set of minutes are on file at the Power County Courthouse, American Falls, Idaho. The complete minutes are also available online at www.co.power.id.us.

Meeting convened at 9:30 am.

NOTICES/REPORTS:

The Waterways Board and the Power County Sheriff provided an update on the Pipeline grant application. Dr. Wayne Miller of ISU provided a Community Education Update. An update on the Johnson Street grant application was presented. Commissioner Funk reported information from the Eastern Idaho State Fair Board he attended. Future funding and practices for the Gateway West project were discussed. Procedure for County issued equipment and return parameters resulting from the Landfill was discussed. The Board met with the Rockland City Elected Officials and collaborated on best practices to provide services. An update on Palmer Property possible acquisition was discussed.

MOTIONS:

Agenda was amended to include Eastern Idaho State Fair Review and Update, Shared Airport Property with the City of Pocatello update, and Palmer Property Update due to timeliness of the matters and then approved.

The Ambulance administration and financial report was presented and accepted.

The following Assessor fee schedule for services was presented for implementation and approved;

Tax cancellations were approved in the amount of $730.89. Hardship exemption for Parcel #RPA 0308-00 was clarified to correct the year to 2015.

Jim Fitzgerald and Cory Kress were re-appointed to the Planning and Zoning.

Terri Kendell, Anette Colton, and Daisy Hernandez were re-appointed to the Board of Guardians.

Extension office reimbursement for use of personal cell phone was approved.

Certificate of Residencies for Junior College Tuition assistance were approved.

An Indigent claims was denied.

Approval of Commissioner meeting minutes were tabled.

ASSESSMENTS/CONCLUSIONS:

Next regular session for the board to meet is slated for February 8, 2016.
