Twelve wrestlers make it to state

A successful program already, the American Falls varsity wrestling team is taking 12 wrestlers back to state this year. Although they finished second in the district, behind Snake River, head coach Jim Giulio still knows it’s possible to win a state title as a team.

“It’s very possible. We won it one year with only 11 wrestlers, so it’s still doable,” said Giulio.

District champions were Dillinger Fausett at 120, Boone Giulio at 126, Luis Cervantes at 145, Dallen Adkins at 170 and Tate Grover at 182. Wrestlers coming in at second place were Beau Beck at 106, Russell Adkins at 138 and Cameron Henesh at 152. Third place finishers were Luis Flores at 145, Pedro Palacios at 160, Fernando Martinez at 195 and Juan Mata at 220. …
