Hospital considers asking for new bond

The American Falls School District is not the only tax district that wants a new bond. The Power County Hospital wants one too.

The Power County Hospital needs remodeled, said hospital administrator Dallas Clinger, and that is going to take a bond. The bond will need to be approved by voters with a two thirds majority.

The hospital does not expect to have enough information on the amount they will need in time for the election in May, but the hospital board hopes to have a more accurate picture of what it will need in time for the election in November.

Currently an architect is completing an overall plan for the hospital. The hospital wants an overall plan for the remodel, but the plan is just to bond for the first phase of the remodel—just what the hospital needs to get by. …
