Charity organization Beat The Odds chose to raise funds for American Falls resident Fawn Wright, who survived a car accident that broke or shattered 60 of her bones.
Beat The Odds holds a benefit bull riding exhibition each year at the Bannock County Fairgrounds and donates the revenue from a live auction, a silent auction, and a raffle to someone facing serious challenges in the community. This year they chose Fawn and Larry Wright, who were both hit by a car on the side of the interstate last year.
This year the organization will raffle off a saddle. They will be selling raffle tickets in American Falls this Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The bull riding event will be held on Saturday, April 9, starting at 11:30 a.m. with a child rodeo. Mini bull riding will start at 12:30 p.m. and bull riding, with 30 bull riders, will start at 1 p.m. Entering the event is free.
