Planned solar farm sold after SunEdison files bankruptcy

SunEdison, one of the largest producers of wind and solar energy, went bankrupt this past month. The company was the developer of a solar farm slated to be built nearby the wind farm, off of Ramsey Road. It also managed a portion of the wind towers in the Rockland Wind Farm.

Power County Building Administrator Bob Steinlicht said Capital Dynamics, an investment firm with an office out of Scottsdale, AZ, has picked up the solar farm project. While the bankruptcy has slowed down the project somewhat, it still expects to start construction on the solar farm this year, he said. …
