Willis W. Williams, 93, of American Falls, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 at Edgewood Assistive Living Facility. He was just one month shy of being 94 years old.
Willis was born on Oct. 4, 1922 in Aurora, MO, to Lucy M. Young Williams and Loren A. Williams. He was one of three brothers who moved as a family to American Falls. He married the love of his life, Anna Belle Hunter, on July 8, 1949.
Willis is survived by his three sons and two daughters: Willis Wesley (Shirley) Williams, Scottsboro, AL; Hank (Sandi) Williams, Filer, ID; Calvin (Kathy) Williams, American Falls; Judy (Randy) Mayer, American Falls; Brenda (Mo) Sisk, St. Paul, MN. He also leaves behind seven loving grandkids: Kaycee Williams, Tater Williams, Michael Williams, Cherri Phillips, David Phillips, Wesley Williams, and Hunter Williams. Willis also enjoyed the visits from his four great-grandchildren: Garrett Williams, Tkaya Phillips, Tyvan Phillips, and Traxtyn Phillips.
Willis proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed working on the farm with his family. His hobbies included being a rodeo announcer, and a good game of cards. He served 30 years on the Soil Conservation Board, where he cherished the friendship of those involved.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Loren and Ewill; and his loving wife, Anna Belle.
The funeral service was Tuesday, Sept. 13, with a military interment at Falls View Cemetery in American Falls.
We love you Dad, Pop, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, Papa. You will be greatly missed.
