Cornforth will be Grand Marshal of homecoming

“It is an honor to be the grand marshal at this year’s Aberdeen High School Homecoming parade. Homecoming Week is one of the greatest weeks of school. The whole community and all grade levels of students participate in promoting School Spirit. At the schools: posters, assemblies, door decorations, competitions, floats, spirit dress-up days, and hours of football, volleyball and soccer practice. The community has window decorations, game day Spirit Flags, Aberdeen Times good luck and Spirit ads, floats in the parade and turnout in droves for tailgating food. What a great event to be a part of,” Connie Cornforth said.

She was born and raised in Aberdeen, attending Aberdeen Schools first grade through graduation in 1971. She attended ISU Vocational Business School for one year and then returned to Aberdeen to begin her 35 year career, working for the Aberdeen School District. She retired in 2015….
