We would like to find out who this Richard Huggler is. All the Huggler’s in Alpena are related and no one knows who this would be.

We are a newspaper in Aberdeen, Idaho, so it would be someone who lived in Idaho for a time. The Alpena Times did a short obituary on him as well:

Yes, the obituary was published here in the Alpena News, that is what started all the phone calls. It happens my husband Dennis is 84 and everyone thought it was him, since my name is Patricia. There is a Richard Huggler in Alpena who is 93 years old, he knows of no other Richard that ever lived here or anywhere else. Still trying to determine if this Richard could be a relative.

Trying to determine if this was the Richard Huggler from Alpena who served in the 101st Airborne Division in World War II. Our year-end newsletter to him was returned from 244 N. Ripley marked “Moved. Left no address. Unable to forward.”

The Richard who lived on Ripley passed away at the age of 94 on March 20, 2015. Prior to that he did spend a short time in a nursing home. He does have a son Wayne who lives in Alpena, and Paul who lives in Ossineke, MI. His complete obituary appear in the Alpena News.
