The Aberdeen Lady Tiger basketball team overcame a poor shooting performance to down rival American Falls 45-16 on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Aberdeen built first and second quarter leads of 14-3 and 29-9 respectively allowing coach Ryan Wahlen the opportunity to play 13 different players in the game.
“The lead that we built in the first half allowed us to get a lot of girls into the game that deserve the opportunity to play. We’re pretty deep this year with a lot of talented girls. It was nice to give everyone a chance to get into the game,” coach Wahlen said.
Makenzie Rucker led the Aberdeen attack with 14 points while Josefina Uribe chipped in 10. Makenna Schritter led the Tigers with 13 rebounds and five steals. Destanie Ponce added an additional nine rebounds, four of which were on the offensive end.
