Three teachers approved for alternative teacher authorization

Three of Aberdeen’s teachers, Jordelle Ihenkoro, Jared Reed and Aaron Spence, have been working on getting their certification and all three thought they had done everything they needed to do to be certified. After completing their process, they each found out there was something more that needed to be done, or that something they had done had changed to include more things. Superintendent Jane Ward told board members present at the board meeting Wednesday, Nov, 16, Herb Bohrer, Elaine Blik, Todd Lowder, Mike Shackelford and Braden Driscoll, that it will only be a couple of months and they will all be certified, but they needed to be approved for one more year because of the deadline the state has set.
