Trustees consider trying bond again

The American Falls School District Board of Trustees have a familiar question facing them: whether or not to ask voters to pass a bond for a new school to replace the American Falls Intermediate School.

Bonds for a new school failed twice, in November 2015 and May 2016. Sixty three percent of voters approved the new school in May, just shy of the two thirds needed to pass the bond.

Board members have other reasons to hope another try will pass the bond. A survey of parents attending parent teacher conferences found that respondents overwhelmingly support a new school….
