Young wrestling team going through growing pains

The American Falls Wrestling team is full of underclassmen, with five freshman in the starting varsity lineup. Because of that, head coach Jim Giulio has seen the team go through big ups and big downs.
“This team has great progression from match to match, but we have been going through some growing pains. We still have a long road to go, but as of right now we’re right on schedule with where I hoped we would be,” said Giulio.
American Falls recently hosted the annual Dahlke Duals where they went 4-2 during the two-day invitational. There wins came against West Side, Kellogg, Fruitland’s B team and Snake River’s B team. They lost to Fruitland’s A team and Star Valley. As a team, they ended up taking fourth out of the 12 teams that showed up.
