The Aberdeen High School track and field teams traveled to Filer to compete in the Angie Wyatt Invitational. The boys’ team took sixth place out of 18 teams.
Individual results:
100 meter dash: Matthew Klassen took second with a time of 11.52; Angel Lemos took 12th place with a time of 12.34; Jesus Guillen took 28th place with a time of 12.86; Alex Cerna placed 55th with a time of 13.89.
200 meter dash: Matthew Klassen took third place with a time of 23.26; Angel Lemos placed 23rd with a time of 25.48; Jesus Guillen placed 31st with a time of 26.05.
400 meters: Joseph Carrasco placed 13th with a time of 57.21.
800 meters: Anthony Garza took sixth place with a time of 2:13.00; Chance Reynolds took 22nd place with a time of 2:29.00 and Diego Rangel took 25th with a time of 2:32.
3200 meters: Anthony Garza took fourth with a time of 10:30.00; Diego Rangel took 17th with 11:28.00; Chance Reynolds took 24th with 11:54.00.
110 meter hurdles: Victor Klassen took third with a time of 16.65; Jake Hall took eighth place in 17.45.
4×200 meter relay: first place went to the Aberdeen team of Dallon Elliott, Bryson Foster, Matthew Klassen, and Victor Klassen with a time of 1:34.79.
Shot put: Mitchell Spence took 13th place with a throw of 39-08.00; Dexton Wallace took 26th with a throw of 37-04.50.
Discus: Fifth place went to Dexton Wallace with a throw of 120-07; 10th place went to Mitchell Spence with a throw of 104-02.
