A.F. school board raises levy; election planned March 12

The American Falls School District will ask taxpayers for an increase in the school district’s supplemental levy. The district will ask for $2.75 million, up from $2.53 million the district asked for two years ago. Patrons will vote on the increase on Tuesday, March 12.

The school board approved the larger amount in its meeting on Monday, Dec. 17.

“I’d like to see a $200,000 increase to pay for fees and additional supplies,” said board member…
