Water streams over the what used to be part of the forebay below the American Falls Dam. Early season worries of a drastically short water year have been eased by recent rainfall, but the full effect of recent precipitation is not known yet. Bureau of Reclamation estimates place the American Falls Reservoir at 74 percent full while Jackson Lake is at 27 percent and Palisades Reservoir is at 31 percent full.
