Water filled construction trenches and rushed down Idaho Street following a sudden rain storm that covered several other streets and flooded several businesses and homes around American Falls. Storm drains couldn’t handle the downpour, making driving a risky proposition. See more photos in this week’s print edition.

Mike Glaser of Double Point Construction was busy last week with demolition work on an old building in the elevator district of American Falls. The old wooden elevator in the background is next on the chopping block and should be coming down within the next week or two.

Heavy equipment has been digging deep as DePatco crews work up and down Idaho Street in downtown American Falls. Workers are replacing old, worn out sewer and water lines, and will eventually finish up with new roads, sidewalks and landscaping to beautify the area, all part of the downtown revitalization project.
