Biologists from the Idaho Department of Fish and Game attempt to place a collar around the neck of a young moose prior to relocating the animal to another part of the county. The biologists will use the collar which is equipped with a radio and GPS transmitters that will allow biologists the opportunity to study the moose’s movements around its new home range.

Picture of the week: Playing up a storm

Members of the 25th Army Band Wind Groups Little Big Band play during a concert in the American Falls City Park of Friday, July 4. The Little Big Band and Mayhem Battalion are two sub groups of the larger band stationed at Gowen Field near Boise. The groups were touring the area following a performance in the Pocatello Independence Day parade. Nearly 80 people braved heat and rain to watch the bands play.
