Mike Stokes (second from right), customer representative for Idaho Power, and Dave Joerger (right), general manager for Idaho Power, presented a check for $6,492 to Aberdeen High School principal Travis Pincock (second from left) and superintendent Jane Ward (left) last week for the project done in the high school. Aberdeen replaced the lights in the high school gymnasium. The estimated project cost was $14,700. That was higher than what the district had budgeted for the project but with the Idaho Power incentive and rebate, the district came under budget on the project. The annual energy savings will be $2,089.44. The energy saved will light 2.8 homes. The district thanks Gary Krehbiel for investigating the Idaho Power incentive and making the new lighting possible.
