Picture of the week: Cutting the hay crop

Despite the threat of rain, the hay has to be cut and dried so it can be baled. If the hay is left until good weather, the quality of the hay goes down and doesn’t make as good a feed as when it is cut at the right time. The rain that the area has been receiving is welcome to almost everyone but it comes at a time when hay farmers are trying to get the second crop of hay harvested.
