Elizabeth “Faye” Blair
Elizabeth “Faye” Blair, 69, of American Falls.
In memory of a caring, loving, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Faye passed away on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010 at Portneuf Medical Center of natural causes.
Faye was born to Alma and Amee Harris on May 25, 1941 in American Fork, UT. She was the third out of seven children. When Faye was five years of age her family moved to Aberdeen, ID, where she attended school.
In 1958 Faye married her best friend and the love of her life, Darwin Blair. She was a dedicated wife, supporting her husband’s decisions on taking on new adventures. She worked for Lamb Weston for 23 years, retiring in 1995.
Faye will be missed and forever loved by her children, Wayne (Susan) Blair of AZ, Memorie Wilson of American Falls, Danielle (Greg) Sterner of MN, Joseph (Maura) Blair from Washington; grandchildren, Alicia (Dennis) Harris, Krysta Wilson, Tyler Blair, Justin Sterner, Dylan Forsyth, Sara Sterner, Taveon Nelson, Jace Sterner, and Tasia Nelson; siblings, Ardith Whited, Laverne Arellino, Patricia (Bill) Garrett and many nieces, nephews, and a lot of good friends.
She has blessed us with many life lessons that we will never forget.
She is reunited in death with her husband, Darwin Blair; brothers, Lavar, Clint, and Daniel Harris; parents, Alma and Amee Harris; brother-in-law, Leman Whited; and niece Kendra Harris.

Ferdinand “Ford” Gehring
Ferdinand “Ford” Gehring, 94, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at Harms Memorial Hospital in American Falls of natural causes.
He was born in American Falls on Oct. 11, 1915 to Frederick and Albina Mehlhaff Gehring.
Ford grew up on the family farm and attended school at the Pleasant Valley School close to his home. He was a lifetime member of the Lutheran Church. At an early age he started farming with his father and brothers. He continued farming and in later years was joined by his son, Gary.
He married Hannah Huse on April 30, 1943 at her parents’ home in Fairview, now known as “The Arbors.” They resided in Pleasant Valley on the family farm. After retiring they spent their winters in Arizona. Ford enjoyed golfing, traveling and reading. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Hannah, of 67 years; his children, Carol (Mike) Burgess of Surprise, AZ; Gary (Donna) Gehring of American Falls; and Myrna (Roger) Lamb of Eagle, ID; his grandchildren, Brook (Kevin) Schnuerle; Celeste (Dennis) Ackerman; Jared (Jill) Gehring; Jordan (Kacy) Gehring; one great-grandchild, Aiden; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
The viewing was held Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Davis-Rose Mortuary, 170 Idaho Street, American Falls, and Thursday, Aug. 26, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. in the Fireside Room at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 656 Tyhee Ave., American Falls. The funeral service was at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Interment followed at Falls View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church as a memorial in his name, or to a favorite charity.
