AFHS football starts Aug. 11
The American Falls High School football program is holding its mandatory fall football practice on Monday, Aug. 11, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the high school practice field. Those planning to play this fall should make plans to attend.
All paper work can be completed at the high school on that day from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Parents must come in to sign paper work which includes: insurance, Code of Conduct, a physical for all freshman and juniors, or incoming players who have not played a sport at the high school are required to have a physical, and a questionnaire.
The first practice will be in shorts, t-shirts, cleats and helmets.
Cost for an activity fee this year is $30. A spirit pack will be $30 which includes shorts t-shirts. No player will be kept from playing because of financial concerns.
“This year we are not having two-a-days to allow players to work and to help cut down on the expense of traveling time,” said head coach Jess Johnson. “So all players need to be at a practice once a day.”
The practice schedule will be Monday through Friday, 6 to 9 p.m., beginning on Aug. 11, until Saturday, Aug. 15. Saturday morning practice will begin at 10 a.m.
Those with questions may call Johnson at 221-9985 or 226-2009.
