Eldon Harder
Eldon B. Harder, 89, of Aberdeen, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Power County Hospital, in American Falls.
The memorial service for Eldon will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31, at First Mennonite Church, 381 W. Washington, Aberdeen.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mennonite Church Camp, or to Power County Hospital. Condolences and memories may be shared at The family expresses their deep appreciation to the staff at Power Ciounty Hospital for going above and beyond, with the kindness and love that was shown to their entire family.

Henry Glade Wilcox
Henry Glade Wilcox, 58, of Aberdeen, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at his home.
The gathering with family and friends will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Davis-Rose Mortuary, 170 Idaho St., American Falls. The burial will be at 12 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Aberdeen Cemetery. The memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Aberdeen 1st Ward.

Ruth Bybee Thornley
Ruth Bybee Thornley, 88, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at Spring Creek Assisted Living in Boise with her family at her side. Memorial services were conducted at Alden Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 Fairview Ave, Boise, ID, at 3 p.m., Thursday, May 17.
Ruth was born in Downey, ID, on Aug. 25, 1923 to Guy Jefferson and Lareta Bennett Bybee. She graduated from Downey High School in 1942, then attended business school in Salt Lake City. Ruth married the love of her life, Dub, on Oct. 14, 1946. They lived in Aberdeen; owned the T&K Market, then moved to Pocatello in 1952. Their lives were filled with family, friends and horse activities. Ruth was always at Dub’s side participating in the auxiliary associations related to the posse, chariot races, rodeos, all relating to Dubs horses and interests. Ruth also volunteered at Winnemucca Hospital Auxiliary and the community thrift store, and was honored for her hours of volunteer service. In 1969 Dub joined Simplot Soilbuilders which took them to Blackfoot, ID, and later to Winnemucca, NV, where they stayed until he retired. In 1987 they moved to Boise to be closer to family.
Ruth and Dub enjoyed ballroom dancing and always eagerly traveled to family functions and sporting events.
Ruth is survived by her three children, Jolene Palmer (Boise), Koret (Korri) Hall and her husband Arnie (Boise) and Dell Bert Thornley and his wife Cigdem (Germany). She has five grandchildren, Kathy Joe Davidson, (Bryan), Jacque Marlene Smart, (Jim), and Arika Joelle Hall, Alex D. Hall, (Mackenzie), Asli Pinar Thornley and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers Rex and Jack Bybee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dub, a son Randall, a great-grandson Hayden Hall, sisters Donna Burton, Betty Austin and brothers Keith, Gene and Jay Bybee.
The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff and caregivers at Spring Creek Assisted Living and Idaho Home Health and Hospice for their compassion and loving care of our mother. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Ruth’s name to a charity of choice. Friends and family may call to visit with the family following the service at Koret and Arnie Hall’s home at 7840 W Savannah Ct, Boise.
Shirley Fox Hager
Shirley Fox Hager, 94, of Aberdeen, ID, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Blackfoot of natural causes.
Shirley was born on June 6, 1917 in Downey, ID. She was the fourth child of six born to Raymond and Mary Elizabeth Burrup Fox. Shirley was raised in Downey, Bannock County, Idaho.
Shirley was married to Caleb Verl Vaughn where she had four children. They later divorced. She then met and married John L. Hager who had three daughters and in this union added four sons. John died on July 3, 1970. Shirley was a resident of Aberdeen and lived in the same home for 58 years.
Shirley is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Shirley loved fishing, gardening, cooking, canning and camping. She especially loved quilting and pieced many wonderful quilts for her children and grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her children, Sharon Parsons, Mary Jean Burry, Ben R. Vaughn, Judy Lefevre, Randy R. Hager and Bruce G. Hager; and a step-daughter, Norma Davis. She was known as ”Grandma Tiger” to grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren..
She was preceded in death by two sons, John Kevan and Bryan Keith Hager; two stepdaughters, Donna Riedlinger and Sandra Rehn. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Glen, Floyd and Dean Fox; and sisters, Lennabell Kent and Elda Ray Orahood.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 4, at the 2nd Ward Aberdeen LDS Church in Aberdeen, ID. Family met with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services at the church. Interment followed in the Aberdeen City Cemetery.

Robert E. Mann
Robert Mann, 85, passed away at his home Sunday, May 6, 2012. Bob was born Oct. 22, 1926 in Aberdeen, ID, to Edward and Clara Mann. He graduated from Aberdeen High School. While there he was a gymnast, but his pride at this time was his Harley motorcycle and he spent many hours cruising down the roads with his friends.
World War II came and he enlisted in the Navy. He had a great love for his country. He was sent to California to the Navy ship yards. He was assigned to the ship USS Hazelwood. While there his high school sweetheart Verlene Lankford joined him and they were married July 9, 1945 in Valejo, CA.
After his discharge they moved back to Aberdeen. He bought a farm north of Aberdeen where they lived until his passing. Many will remember his years as an auctioneer. He spent many years volunteering his time to the Boy Scouts of America serving as a scoutmaster. He received the Silver Beaver award for his many years of service. He was a member of the American Legion. He served as Chaplin for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and has many of his big fish mounted on his wall.
Bob is survived by his wife Verlene; three children, Pat (Dale) Palmer, Danny (Susan) Mann and Becky (Tom) Shank; son-in-law Kenneth Oldfield; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dennis Mann.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Betty Christensen; and daughter Bonnie Oldfield.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 12, at First Mennonite Church, 381 W. Washington, Aberdeen. The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 11, at Davis-Rose Mortuary, 170 Idaho Street, American Falls, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday before the service at the church.
