Ardeena Nalder Sasser

Ardeena Nalder Sasser of Pingree, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013. She was 94 years old.

Ardeena was born July 29, 1919, the daughter of Archie and Clara Webb Nalder. She grew up in Holbrook, ID, attending schools in Holbrook and Kaysville, UT.

She married Blaine Sasser on Christmas day 1936 and they were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She and Blaine settled the family farm in Pingree, where she has lived for the past 74 years.

Ardeena loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed animals, the outdoors, the farming life-style and working in her yard. She had numerous church callings throughout her life. She was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her four children: Lyle (Sonja) Sasser of Richland, WA, Ileen Bunce of Eagle, ID, Oralee (Paul) Woods of Pingree and Eldon (Karen) Sasser of Madras, OR; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Blaine Sasser; her parents, her siblings: Vernal Nalder, Myrle Nalder, Beth Peck and a son-in-law, Delbert Bunce.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Lakeview Ward LDS Church, 2120 W. 800 S., Springfield. The family will receive friends and relatives from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave, Blackfoot, and again for one hour prior to services at the church.

Interment will be in the Springfield Cemetery.
