Gerry Nelson, 81, resident of the Rockland community for the last 15 years, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer.
Gerry was born to Ray and Clara Mathews Nelson, Feb. 23, 1932 in Preston, ID. Gerry has two brothers, Alma (Betty) of American Falls and Grant (Lila) of Soda Springs. He married Beryl Sperry and together they raised five children: Bruce (Helen) Nelson; Jeanne (Steve) Mennewisch; Bernie (Rene’) Nelson; David (Tracy) Nelson; and Clarissa (Richard) Cannon.
He is survived by his brothers, children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
