American Falls residents about to have their water turned off should not pay the city with a check.
The American Falls City Council, in their meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 5, discussed the issue of people paying with checks when they are one payment away from having their water turned off. City Clerk Terri Miller told the council that once or twice a month residents try paying their overdue water bills with a check that goes on to bounce. It can take several weeks to resolve.
