Delford Ralphs

Delford Ralphs was born Jan. 24, 1943, at Schiltz Memorial Hospital American Falls, ID, nine lbs. and 23 inches long, to Alvin Leo Ralphs and Celia Lois Walker Ralphs. He has a brother Reynold and three sisters Reva, Marcia, and Rosalee.
He attended Rockland schools and graduated May 1961. He played various sports, but his favorite was basketball. He later went on to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Vista, CA, where he stole the heart of MaryEllen Allenbach. Later he sought her out at BYU and they later married on Sept. 10, 1965.
They have nine children together: Sherrie, Tracie, Sheralyn, Mark, Brett, Rachelle, Darin, Eric, and Kimberly. He has 27 grandchildren and soon to be four great-grandchildren.
Favorite colors were yellow and orange because they reminded him of sunsets, which he loved. His favorite place to vacation was Hawaii. He would take MaryEllen and go enjoy the beach, waves, and sunsets. His favorite things were Sunday drives, driving his tractor on the farm, cookouts with his family, making cinnamon rolls, and playing with his grandchildren.
After a long heroic battle with cancer, he died peacefully in his home surrounded by family Monday morning, Feb. 13, 2023. He lived a long fulfilling life and just celebrated his 80th birthday.
You can remember him and only that he is gone, or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
A visitation was held Monday, Feb. 20, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rockland. The funeral followed at 11 a.m. Interment was at Valley View Cemetery. To order flowers, or to share condolences, memories, and photos, please visit DavisRoseMortuary.com.
