My brother, Verne Parrish, class of ‘53, passed on May 18, just a couple of weeks short of his 88th birthday in Phoenix.
Verne married Janet Schritter, class of ‘56 (I think). Years later they divorced.
His early career was truck driving, starting local drives then cross country and a couple of years in Alaska.
Before moving to Phoenix in ‘97 he had lived in Pocatello, Idaho Falls and Sterling, ALASKA.
Verne was a people person and after embracing sobriety, for the next 41 years he was active in AA, even creating chapters where there were none.
