Dennis Rafe Mann 10-11-23

Dennis Rafe Mann, 78, of Nampa, ID, passed away on Aug. 22, 2023 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident while traveling with excitement to a camping trip in Idaho.
Dennis was born on Sept. 20, 1944, in Aberdeen, ID, and was the son of Edward Charles and Clara Montez (Nelson) Mann. He was the youngest of three siblings and graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1962. Dennis loved playing football in high school and his love of the sport continued passionately into every football season. His hot rod demeanor was spurred by his membership in the Aberdeen Dusters car club in school.
After graduation, Dennis began a long career in the grocery and sales industry. In 1966, he married Bonnie Rogers and lovingly adopted her son Jeffrey. In 1967, Dennis and Bonnie welcomed their daughter, Debra, followed by a son, Bryan, in 1973. In 1993, Dennis found happiness again in marriage with Carol Marie (King). They retired in 2007 and enjoyed traveling to the southwestern United States and to their favorite spots on the Oregon Coast.
Dennis was a life-long builder, tinkerer, and enthusiast for anything on wheels and never once allowed anyone else to change the oil. He lived his life proud of his children, cheering on Boise State football, camping in the mountains of Idaho and exploring the Oregon Coast with his wife Marie and their late dogs, Kassie and Obiwon.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Carol Marie Mann; his daughter Debra Jones; his son Bryan Mann (Allison); stepson Charles Grandsbury (Terry); nieces Sandi Duggan (Robert Fagan) and Charmaine Travis; grandchildren Hannah Meadows (Creed), Devin Jones, Kelsie (KJ) Jones, Katelynn Crabtree, Brianna Carney (Aubrey) Kenneth Grandsbury (Jennifer), Scylar Grandsbury (Tony Reyna); and great-grandchildren Ashton Oliphant, Tayler Carney, Dylan Carney, Ela Carney, Malachi Grandsbury, Lily Grandsbury, and Charlie Grandsbury.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Clara Mann; his sister Betty Lou; brother Robert Edward; son Jeffrey Allen Mikesell; and stepson Kenneth Dale Grandsbury.
A short gathering for the inurnment of his ashes will be held at the Aberdeen, ID cemetery on Oct. 21, 2023 at 11 a.m.
