Oscar Tirado – Molina passed away Monday, June 3, 2024 surrounded by loved ones after fighting a long fought battle of pancreatic cancer. Oscar was born July 27, 1968 in Zapotiltic, Jalisco to Carlos Tirado – Martinez and Juana Molina – Garcia. Oscar was the fourth born of 11 children.
Oscar came to the United States in 1989 where he lived in California before moving to American Falls to be with family. While in American Falls Oscar met his wife Kerstin and they were married on Oct. 17, 2001. Together they welcomed their daughter Chloe on July 30, 2002. Six years later on Nov. 20, 2008 they completed their family with their son Nicolas.
While residing in American Falls Oscar worked for both Clinger Farms and Diamond K Farms, but most of his years as a farm laborer were spent at Diamond K. In June of 2005 Oscar began working at Lamb Weston where he started as a general laborer in cold storage and was later promoted to a forklift operator. Oscar devoted almost 18 years to Lamb Weston before becoming ill. He loved his job and being able to provide for his family.
Oscar was very close to all of his family. He loved and cared deeply for all of them, especially his siblings, nieces, and nephews. He took much pride in being a father and never missed a chance to brag about his children. Something many may not know, Oscar was very artistic and had a talent for drawing and painting.
Oscar was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed all sports, some his favorite being basketball, football, golf, and pool. Oscar especially loved baseball and was a diehard Dodgers fan. He loved being able to spend summer at the ballpark watching baseball with his family. He even picked up the role of dance/cheer dad over the years while supporting his daughter on the stage and mat. He also grew to love the sport of bike riding and shared this love with his son. You could often catch Oscar riding his bike to and from work.
Oscar was preceded in death by his brother Ramon Tirado – Madrigal and father Carlos Tirado – Martinez.
