Alice E. Gonzales, 78, of Aberdeen, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Alice was born Sept. 15, 1935 in Sterling, ID, to Ross Mitchell and Alice Ester Phillips. She grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen High School.
She met and married Peter Gonzales. She and Peter raised their family together in Aberdeen. They enjoyed over 40 years of marriage together.
She worked as the Aberdeen Librarian and for the USDA Potato Inspection. Alice’s greatest love was her grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, wife, friend, and grandmother.
Alice is survived by her children: Peter Brett (Carla Gonzales) and Alice Marie (Tony Rossi). Her grandchildren: Charles, Mathew, and Amber Gonzales, Marina Rossi (Simon) Palagi and Carson Rossi.
Alice was preceded in death by husband, Peter Gonzales.
As per her wishes, no services will be held at this time. The family would like to specially thank the staff at the Portneuf Cancer Center and Encompass Home Health and all the people that have been so good to her during the last three years for all the care and support they gave to our mother.
