Audrey Kucera

American Falls – Audrey Emily Kucera passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013. Audrey was born in Henry, LA, on Oct. 24, 1927. She was the daughter of Elodias and Chloe Moss Brasseaux. She had two older sisters, Bernice and Doris, and one younger sister, Velta. Audrey graduated valedictorian of her class. She met Joe Kucera in New Orleans, LA, and they were married on Nov. 10, 1946. They made their home in American Falls, where Joe farmed. Audrey was a homemaker and a wonderful cook.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Joe, son Tony, sister Bernice and her parents. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Williams of Pocatello, son Stephen (Linda O’Brien) Kucera of Omaha, NE, son Vince Kucera of American Falls, 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two sisters.

Audrey was a life-long member of the Catholic Church. The Rosary service was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 352 Roosevelt St. in American Falls at 5:30 p.m., Monday, April 1, with the visitation at 6 p.m. The funeral mass was held Tuesday April 2, at 11 a.m. Interment was in the Falls View Cemetery.

Her family is especially grateful for the excellent, loving and compassionate care our mother received from the caring staff at Portneuf Medical Center.
