Veryl Worth King

Veryl Worth King returned home to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 while residing at Ridge Wind Assisted Living in Pocatello, ID.

Veryl was born to Paul Dean King and Sabra Noreen Kendall King on Aug. 21, 1936 in Aberdeen, ID. He was the youngest of nine children. He was a High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he held several positions over the years. He married his childhood sweetheart Karen Palmer on Nov. 7, 1953 in Aberdeen and solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on Feb. 6, 1957. They spent their time farming, working the dairy, and raising their family.

Veryl is survived by: his wife Karen: their children, Shanon Burrage (Dave), Pocatello, Desirae Pena, American Falls, Johnny King (Bunny), Elko, NV, Dana Thompson (Lorne), Las Vegas, NV, Valerie Evans, Las Vegas, NV, Murrell King (Susan), Pocatello, Martin King (Gwen), Spring Creek, NV, Amber Henrie (Doug), American Falls, Kandi Harris, Aberdeen, Katrina Medina (Adam), Phoenix, AZ; 34 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Howard King, Boise, Maurice King, American Falls; three sisters, Koral Robinson, Logan, UT, Beatrice Jensen, Salt Lake City, UT, Roma Stevens, Linden, NB; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Max King and Lowell King; one sister, LaRue Youd; and a granddaughter, Kaina Noel Medina.

We wish to give a special thanks to the staff at Ridge Wind for their friendship and loving care of our dad for the last three years and their kindness during our time of sorrow.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the LDS First Ward in Aberdeen. Interment will follow at the Aberdeen Cemetery. The viewing will be Friday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Davis-Rose Mortuary and Saturday morning at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.davisrosemortuary.com.
