Ann Stevens Klingensmith

July 15, 1938 – January 14, 2014

Ann Stevens Klingensmith was born on July 15, 1938 in American Falls, ID, to Maryvee and Harland Stevens. She was the oldest of three children followed by sister, Beth, and brother, David.

Ann’s childhood was spent in Aberdeen where her father was a plant geneticist with the USDA and her mother was a high school teacher in Aberdeen and American Falls. Ann attended the University of Idaho where she graduated with a BA in English and a minor in physiology. She married after completing her degree and moved to Brooklyn, NY.

Ann’s work life was centered around the medical profession. She eventually retired from the University of Washington in Seattle as the Assistant to the Dean for the Graduate School of Nursing after 38 years. Hobbies included music and reading.

Ann was born into an Episcopalian family. After she moved to California in 2006 to be near her sister Beth, she joined St. Andrews Episcopal Church where her memorial service was held Jan. 25, 2014.
